By starting their mornings with this supplication, believers reinforce their trust in Allah’s generosity and aim for a day filled with halal and blessed sustenance.
Dua for Rizq – After Fajar

Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman naafi’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.
(Sunan Ibn Majah 925)

Allahummagfirli zambi wa was-si’-li fi daari wa barik li fi rizqi.
O Allah! Forgive my sins, widen my home, and grant barakah in my rizq.

Our Lord, give us in this world (that which is) good and in the Hereafter (that which is) good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal faqri wal qillati wadh dhillati wa a’udhu bika min an azlima aw uzlama.
O Allah! I seek refuge in You from poverty, insufficiency, and humiliation, and I seek refuge in You from oppressing or being oppressed.
(Sunan Abi Dawud 1544)
5. رَبِّ اِنِّىۡ لِمَاۤ اَنۡزَلۡتَ اِلَىَّ مِنۡ خَيۡرٍ فَقِيۡرٌ
Rabbi innee lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer.
My Lord! Truly, I am in need of whatever good You bestow on me.

1. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:212):
“Allah gives provision (rizq) to whom He wills without limit.”
2. Surah Ash-Shura (42:27):
“If Allah were to expand the provision for His servants, they would surely rebel on the earth, but He sends it down in due measure as He wills. Indeed, He is, of His servants, Acquainted and Seeing.”

“Indeed, your Lord extends provision for whom He wills and restricts it. Indeed, He is ever, concerning His servants, Acquainted and Seeing.”
Practical Tips for Halal Rizq
1. Have Taqwa (Consciousness of Allah)
“And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect.” (Surah At-Talaq 65:2-3)
2. Make Dua for Halal Rizq
Consistently supplicate to Allah for pure and lawful sustenance.
3. Ensure Your Work is Ethical and Lawful
Avoid activities forbidden in Islam, such as riba (interest) and gambling.
4. Be Honest and Fair in Dealings
Honesty and fairness in transactions bring barakah (blessings).
“The truthful and trustworthy businessman will be in the company of the Prophets, the truthful, and the martyrs.” (Tirmidhi)
5. Seek Barakah, Not Just Quantity
Prioritize blessed earnings, not just wealth accumulation.
“Charity does not decrease wealth.” (Muslim)
6. Give Charity (Sadaqah)
Sadaqah increases provision.
7. Trust in Allah’s Plan
Have faith that Allah will provide through halal means.
8. Work Diligently and Seek Lawful Means
Islam encourages hard work and lawful earnings.
9. Avoid Haram Income
Steer clear of riba, bribery, and unethical practices.
10. Maintain Gratitude
“If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor].” (Surah Ibrahim 14:7)
