Dua for Barakah in Rizq
اللَّهُمَّ أَكْثِرْ مَالَي وَوَلَدَي، وَبَارِكْ لَي فيما أعطيتني
Allahumma akthir mali wa waladi, wa barik-li fima a’taitani.
“O Allah increase my wealth and offspring and bless me in what You have provided for me.”
Narrated by Anas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) paid a visit to Um-Sulaim, and she placed before him dates and ghee. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Replace the ghee and dates in their respective containers, for I am fasting.” Then he invoked blessings on Um-Sulaim and her family. Um-Sulaim requested, “Please invoke for your servant Anas.” The Prophet (ﷺ) prayed for him: “O Allah! Give him (Anas) property and children and bless him.” Thus, Anas reported that he became one of the richest among the Ansar, and many of his offspring were blessed.
Sahih Al-Bukhari 1982

The Concept of Barakah in the Qur’an
Barakah in the Qur’an is mentioned in several contexts, signifying divine favor, abundance, and growth beyond expectations. It manifests in many aspects of life, including wealth, health, time, family, and spiritual guidance. Here are some key areas where the Qur’an discusses Barakah:
1. Barakah in Provision:
In Surah Al-A’raf (7:96), Allah promises Barakah in sustenance for those who believe and have taqwa (God-consciousness):
“And if the people of the towns had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened for them blessings from the heavens and the earth…”
2. Barakah in Time and Guidance:
The Qur’an is described as a source of Barakah itself in Surah Sad (38:29):
“A Book We have revealed to you, full of blessings, so that they may ponder over its verses and so that those of understanding would be reminded.”
3. Barakah in Land:
In Surah Al-Isra (17:1), the land surrounding Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa is described as blessed:
“Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from Al-Masjid Al-Haram to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed…”
4. Barakah in Family and Offspring:
The Qur’an refers to the Barakah bestowed on Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.) and his descendants in Surah Maryam (19:58):
“And We blessed him and Isaac. And among their descendants are those who do good and those who wrong themselves.”
5. Barakah Through Gratitude:
In Surah Ibrahim (14:7), Allah links Barakah with gratitude:
“If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more (blessings).”
