Qurbani Ki Dua in English

Before Slaughtering (Zabah):

In English: “Inni Wajjahto Wajhiya Lillazi Fatarassamawati Wal’arda Hanifaw Wamaa Anaa Minal Mushrikeen, Inni Salaati Wa Nusooki Wa Mah’yaaya Wa Ma’maati Lillahi Rabbil Aalameen. Laa Shareeka Lahu Wa Bizaalika Umirtu Wa Anaa Minal Muslimeen Allahumma Minka Laka Wa ”

During Slaughtering:

(Bismillahi Allahu Akbar).

This means “In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest,” acknowledging God’s supreme authority.

After Slaughtering:

Allāhumma Taqabbal Minnī Kamā Taqabbalta Min
Khalīlika Ibrāhīma Wa Ḥabībika Muḥammadin,
ʿAlayhimā al-Salām
“O Allah, accept this from me as You accepted from
Your friend Ibrahim and Your beloved Muhammad,
peace be upon them.”

Is it true that you can’t shave or clip nails for 10 days before Qurbani?

Yes, that’s correct! According to Islamic tradition, during the ten days of Dhul Hijjah leading up to Qurbani (the sacrifice performed during Eid al-Adha), it is recommended to refrain from cutting your hair and nails.
