Bismillahilladi Laa Yadurru Meaning and Benefits
بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِيْ لا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلا فِي الْسَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ
Bismillāhilladhī lā yaḍurru ma‘a ismihi shay’un fil-arḍi wa lā fis-samāi wa huwa as-Samī‘ al-‘Alīm.
“In the name of Allah, by whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”

Derivation
Narrated Uthman ibn Affan:
Aban ibn Uthman said: I heard Uthman ibn Affan (his father) say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: If anyone says three times: “In the name of Allah, when Whose name is mentioned nothing on Earth or in Heaven can cause harm, and He is the Hearer, the Knower” he will not suffer sudden affliction till the morning, and if anyone says this in the morning, he will not suffer sudden affliction till the evening.
Aban suffered from paralysis, and when a man who had heard the tradition started staring at him, Aban asked, “Why are you looking at me? By Allah, I did not lie about Uthman, nor did Uthman lie about the Prophet (ﷺ). However, on the day I was afflicted, I became angry and forgot to say them.”
Sunan Abi Dawud 5088
Aban bin `Uthman said:
“I heard `Uthman bin `Affan (ra) saying: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is no worshiper who says, in the morning of every day, and the evening of every night: ‘In the Name of Allah, who with His Name, nothing in the earth or the heavens can cause harm, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing (Bismillāh, alladhi lā yaḍurru ma`a ismihi shai’un fil-arḍi wa lā fis-samā’, wa huwas-Samī`ul `Alīm)’ – three times, (except that) nothing shall harm him.” And Aban had been stricken with a type of semi-paralysis, so a man began to look at him, so Aban said to him, “What are you looking at? Indeed the Hadith is as I reported it to you, but I did not say it one day, so Allah brought about His decree upon me.”
