Hidayah (guidance) is Allah’s way of showing people the right path. Below are different types of Hidayah explained:

1. General Guidance (Hidayat al-‘Aamah)

This includes the instincts Allah gives to all creation, like animals knowing how to survive and humans being able to think and differentiate between right and wrong.

2. Guidance through Teaching (Hidayat al-Irshad)

Guidance is sent through prophets and holy books such as the Qur’an (Allah’s final message) and the Sunnah (Prophet Muhammad’s example), showing us how to live the right way.

3. Guidance to Accept Faith (Hidayat at-Tawfiq)

This is the guidance Allah gives to help people truly accept Islam and follow the right path. It’s when Allah makes it easier for someone to believe and do good.

4. Guidance of the Heart (Hidayat al-Qalb)

This is when Allah opens someone’s heart to love faith and live by it sincerely, creating a deep inner connection to Islam.

5. Guidance to Success (Hidayat al-Husul)

This is the guidance that leads someone to Paradise (Jannah), after following the path Allah has shown, and being rewarded for it.
