Amana Rasul are highly revered in Islam for their powerful meanings and blessings. According to a hadith in Sahih Bukhari, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that whoever recites these two verses at night, will be enough for them.
It was narrated from Abu Mas’ud that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said:
“Whoever recites the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, that will be sufficient for him.”
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ “ مَنْ قَرَأَ الآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ ” .

Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.” |
