| أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ | Ara’ayta alladhī yukadhdhibu biddīn | Have you seen the one who denies the judgment? |
| فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ | Fa dhālika alladhī yadu’‘ul-yatīm | That is the one who drives away the orphan, |
| وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ | Wa lā yaḥuḍḍu ‘alā ṭa’āmil-miskīn | And does not encourage the feeding of the poor. |
| فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ | Fa waylun lil-muṣalleen | So woe to those who pray, |
| الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ | Alladhīna hum ‘an ṣalātihim sāhūn | But are heedless of their prayer, |
| الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ | Alladhīna hum yurā’ūn | Those who only show off, |
| وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ | Wa yamna’ūnal-mā’ūn | And withhold simple assistance. |
