اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَدَنـي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في سَمْـعي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَصَـري ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ
Allahumma ’aafini fi badani, Allahumma ‘aafini fi sam’i, Allahumma ’aafini fi basari, la ilaha illa anta.

“O Allah, make my body healthy. O Allah, preserve for me my hearing. O Allah, preserve for me my sight. There is none worthy of worship but You.”

This supplication was taught by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Abdu’r-Rahman ibn Abi Bakra narrated that his father made this dua every morning and evening, repeating it three times, as he had learned it from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ العَافِيَ
Allahumma inni as’alukal-‘afiyah.
“O Allah, I seek Your protection and good health.

In this hadith, Al-`Abbas bin `Abdul-Muttalib asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) for a specific prayer to recite. The Prophet advised him to ask Allah for **Al-`Afiyah** (well-being and protection), emphasizing its importance in both this life and the Hereafter.

Dua for Good Health: 7 Duas From the Quran & hadith

Here are Duas for Good Health, along with seven other powerful Duas for healing, pain relief, protection, and mental health, complete with their translations, Arabic text, and transliterations:

  1. Dua for Healing:
    Translation: “Remove the harm, O Lord of the people. Heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no disease behind.”
    Arabic: “أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، اشْفِ وَأَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا”
    Transliteration: “Adhhibi al-ba’sa rabba an-naas, ishfi wa anta ash-shaafi, laa shifaa’a illa shifaa’uka, shifaa’an laa yughaadiru saqaman.”
  2. Dua for Pain Relief:
    Translation: “In the name of Allah” (recite three times), followed by “I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I find and of what I guard against” (recite seven times).
    Arabic: “بِسْمِ اللَّهِ” (three times), “أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ” (seven times)
    Transliteration: “Bismillah” (three times), “A’udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru” (seven times).
  3. Dua for Protection and Healing:
    Translation: Recite Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Naas.
    Arabic: Surah Al-Falaq (113) and Surah An-Naas (114)
    Transliteration: Surah Al-Falaq (113) and Surah An-Naas (114).
  4. Dua for the Sick:
    Translation: “I ask Allah, the Mighty, the Lord of the Mighty Throne, to cure you.”
    Arabic: “أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ أَنْ يَشْفِيَكَ”
    Transliteration: “As’alullah al-‘azheem rabbal ‘arshil ‘azheem an yashfiyak.”
  5. Dua for General Well-being:
    Translation: “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from leprosy, madness, and all serious illnesses.”
    Arabic: “اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ سَيِّئِ الْأَسْقَامِ”
    Transliteration: “Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal barasi wal junooni wal judhaami wa min sayyi’il asqaam.”
  6. Dua for Strength and Health:
    Translation: “O Allah, grant my body health, O Allah, grant my hearing health, O Allah, grant my sight health.”
    Arabic: “اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي”
    Transliteration: “Allahumma ‘aafini fi badani, Allahumma ‘aafini fi sam’i, Allahumma ‘aafini fi basari.”
  7. Dua for Mental Health (Anxiety and Sorrow):
    Translation: “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts, and from being overpowered by men.”
    Arabic: “اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحُزْنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ”
    Transliteration: “Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal hammi wal huzni wal ‘ajzi wal kasali wal bukhli wal jubni wa dala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijal.”
