Other Healing Practices:
• Recite Surah Al-Fatihah, Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, Surah An-Naas for additional healing.
• The Prophet (PBUH) would also use his saliva and earth for healing:
“Bismillah, turbatu ardina, biriqati ba’dina, yushfa saqimuna, bi-idhni Rabbina.”
Translation: “With Allah’s name, and with this soil of our earth and our saliva, our sick will be cured with our Lord’s permission.”
What Does Islam Say About Pain?
Pain and suffering are tests from Allah. The Prophet (PBUH) said, “No harm befalls a believer, not even a thorn, without Allah expiating some of his sins.” (Sahih Bukhari 5318, Sahih Muslim 2573).
Quranic Verses About Pain:
• Surah Ash-Sharh (94:5-6): “With hardship comes ease.”
• Surah Duha (93): Revealed to comfort the Prophet during difficult times.
• Surah Al-Ahzab (33:53): Warns against causing harm to the Prophet, and by extension, others.
These prayers and practices provide comfort and healing through faith in Allah’s power.
