Dua for Peace and Happiness in Family

Who doesn’t want peace, happiness, and harmony in their family? Yet, despite our best intentions, family life can sometimes be disrupted by misunderstandings and disagreements. Dua for Peace and Happiness in Family is a heartfelt supplication seeking Allah’s blessings to mend and maintain harmony within the household.

Dua for Peace and Happiness in Family

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي، وَوَسِّعْ لِي فِي دَارِي، وَبَارِكْ لِي فِي رِزْقِي

Allahummagfirli zambi wa was-si’-li fi daa ri wa barik li fi riz-qi

O Allah! Forgive my sins and widen my home and grant barakah in my rizq

Abu Hurairah narrated that a man said:

“O Messenger of Allah, I heard your supplication last night, and the part of it that reached me was that you said: ‘O Allah, forgive me my sin, and expand for me my abode, and bless for me that which You have provided me’ (Allāhummaghfirlī dhanbī, wa wassi lī fī dārī, wa bārik lī fīmā razaqtanī). He said: ‘Do you see that they leave off anything?’”   (Jami at-Tirmidhi 3500)

Importance of this Dua

This Dua is a supplication attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), asking Allah for three important blessings:

1. Forgiveness of sinsاغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي (Forgive my sins). Seeking forgiveness cleanses the soul and brings one closer to Allah.

2. Expansion in one’s homeوَسِّعْ لِي فِي دَارِي (Expand my home for me). This can mean both physical and emotional ease in one’s living space, bringing comfort and blessings to the household.

3. Blessings in sustenanceوَبَارِكْ لِي فِي رِزْقِي (Bless my provision). Asking Allah to put barakah (blessing) in one’s earnings or sustenance, ensuring it benefits you more, no matter the amount.

Benefits of reciting the Dua

Balance between this life and Hereafter: This dua covers both the things we need in this world (like a good home and money) and the hereafter (forgiveness).

Calm and comfort: Asking for a better home and blessed money helps bring peace and makes life easier.

More blessings: When you ask for barakah, you’re asking not just for more, but for what you have to be more useful and full of good.
