Hadith Regarding the First Kalma

1. Narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar:

“I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat. If they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.”

Reference: Sahih Muslim 22

2. Narrated by Abu Huraira:

“If one says one hundred times in one day: ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, Alone, without partners. To Him belongs all dominion and praise, and He has power over all things,’ they will have the reward of freeing ten slaves, one hundred good deeds written, and one hundred bad deeds erased. That person will be protected from Satan until the evening, and no one can do better than this except someone who says more.”

Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 3293

3. Reported by Abu Huraira:

“He who utters these words: ‘There is no god but Allah, the One, having no partner with Him. Sovereignty belongs to Him, and praise is due to Him, and He is Potent over everything,’ one hundred times every day, there is a reward of emancipating ten slaves, and one hundred virtues are recorded to his credit, and one hundred sins are blotted out. It serves as a safeguard against Satan for that day.”

Reference: Sahih Muslim 2691
