Hadith
It is narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“The supplication of Dhun-Nun (Prophet Yunus) when he supplicated while in the belly of the whale was: ‘There is none worthy of worship except You, Glory be to You! Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers (Laa ilaaha illa anta Subhaanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimeen).’ No Muslim ever supplicates with it for anything, except Allah responds to him.”
This is what happened to Prophet Yunus (AS) when he faced a great test. Even in this difficult situation, he turned to Allah with full faith and said, “None has the right to be worshipped except You; Glory be to You. Indeed, I was among the wrongdoers.” He trusted Allah’s mercy and asked for His help. Allah answered his prayer, commanded the fish to release him, and caused a squash plant to grow to heal and strengthen him. This story teaches us that no matter how hard life gets, trusting Allah and asking for His help can bring relief and hope.
