Surah Al-Imran, Ayah 37
Allah graciously accepted Maryam and nurtured her well, placing her under Zakariya’s care. Whenever Zakariya visited her in her prayer chamber, he found provisions with her. He asked, “O Maryam, where is this from?” She answered, “It is from Allah. Allah provides to whom He wills without measure.“
Surah Al-Imran, Ayah 38
Seeing this, Zakariya called upon his Lord, saying, “My Lord, grant me a good offspring from You. Indeed, You are the Hearer of prayers.“
Surah Maryam, Ayah 40
Zakariya questioned, “How can I have a boy when I am old, and my wife is barren?” The angel replied, “This is Allah’s will; He does what He wishes.”
