Hadith
1. Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“Indeed, there is a Surah in the Quran of thirty Ayat, which intercedes for a man until he is forgiven. It is Surah Al-Mulk.”
2. Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (RA) said:
“Whoever recites ‘Blessed is He in whose hand is the dominion’ [Surah Al-Mulk] every night, Allah will protect him from the punishment of the grave.”
(Sunan an-Nasa’i, Hadith 10479)
3. ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbd al-Karīm > Muḥammad b. ʿUbaydullāh Abū Thābit al-Madanī > Ibn Abū Ḥāzim > Suhayl b. Abū Ṣāliḥ > ʿArfajah b. ʿAbd al-Wāḥid > ʿĀṣim b. Abū al-Najūd > Zir > ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd
[Machine] Whoever recites, “Blessed is He in whose hand is the dominion” [Surah Al-Mulk, verse 1] every night, Allah will protect him from the punishment of the grave. During the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , we used to call it the preventive surah.
