Surah Al-Qariah Benefits & English Transliteration - PDF

Surah Al-Qariah (The Calamity) is the 101st chapter of the Quran and has 11 verses. It talks about the Day of Judgment. The Surah describes mountains turning into scattered wool and people swarming like moths.

The main message of this surah is, that everyone’s deeds will be weighed. Those with heavy good deeds will be happy, but those with light deeds will face punishment. It’s a reminder to think about our actions and live a good, righteous life.

Surah Al-Qariah Benefits

1. Reminder of Judgment Day: Surah Al-Qariah vividly describes Judgment Day, reminding Muslims to reflect on their deeds and consider the consequences.

2. Thinking About Our Actions: It speaks of the balance of good and bad deeds, encouraging us to focus on doing more good.

3. Short and Strong: The surah is brief yet powerful, making it easy to memorize and frequently recite as a reminder of the afterlife.

4. Reminder of Death and Afterlife: It reminds us that life is temporary, urging us to prepare for the next life by living righteously.

Conclusion

Surah Al-Qariah emphasizes the intensity of the Day of Judgment, particularly through its opening verses. It underscores the weighing of deeds, highlighting that those with more good deeds will be saved. The tafsir of Al-Mazhari points out that deeds are weighed, not merely counted, meaning sincerity, intention (niyyah), and following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) can make good deeds more significant than those done with less faith or sincerity.
